DC2405 is formed in cast brass and conceived as a singular architectural form in which the massiveness of the material is balanced by an almost fluid plasticity of surface. Irregular edges, casting traces, and soft distortions preserve the sense of physical process, transforming the console into an autonomous sculptural structure.
The brass surface creates a complex interplay of reflections and matte areas, emphasizing the depth of the material and its natural patina. The work exists between functional object and contemporary sculpture, retaining the material intensity and restrained monumentality characteristic of Vincenzo De Cotiis’ practice.
