DC2221 combines hand-painted recycled fiberglass and silver-plated brass within an object where strict architectural composition meets material plasticity and pronounced surface texture. The upper structure preserves traces of handwork, natural distortions, and layered materiality, contrasting with the mirrored geometry of the metallic supports.
Reflective planes intensify the interaction between the object, light, and surrounding space, creating a complex play of depth and reflection. The work exists between functional object and contemporary sculpture, retaining the material transformation and aesthetic of perfect imperfection characteristic of Vincenzo De Cotiis’ practice.
