DC1613
VINCENZO DE COTIIS
2016
Hand-painted recycled fiberglass, polished brass
H 44 × L 50 × W 40 cm
Limited Edition of 20 + 4 AP
The DC1613 side table combines hand-painted recycled fiberglass with polished brass. Irregular surfaces and free geometry give the form a sense of deliberate imperfection, contrasting with the conventional precision of a furniture object.
The contrast between textured fiberglass and the smooth, reflective surface of polished brass emphasizes the material character of the work. The compact functional object takes on the presence of a small-scale sculpture, its form defined through the interplay of different textures and material treatments.
