The title En Plein Air refers to the late 19th-century practice of painting outdoors. In this series, Vincenzo De Cotiis translates the principles of painterly perception — of light and nature — into the scale of the object, creating sculptural works with pictorial depth.

Tables, lighting, and shelving structures are built upon complex juxtapositions of form and texture. Murano glass, semi-precious stones, and cast brass produce layered surfaces with pronounced luminosity.

The influences of Impressionism, the Vienna Secession, and Art Nouveau manifest not as stylistic quotations but as a plastic impulse — transformed into a contemporary spatial gesture.
