The DC1612B mirror is defined by Vincenzo De Cotiis’ characteristic dialogue between reflective surface and metal. The German silver frame appears to flow into the mirror, dissolving the conventional boundary between frame and reflection.
Its gentle asymmetry and subtly irregular metal surface give the object a sculptural presence. Reflection becomes part of the composition, shifting with the surrounding space, light, and the viewer’s position. The work exists simultaneously as a functional mirror and an autonomous artistic object.
