In the Pop Nouveau series, Vincenzo De Cotiis brings together two historical impulses — the radical energy of Pop Art and the organic plasticity of Art Nouveau. A free interpretation of artistic memory becomes the foundation for creating expressive, hybrid forms.
The crisp silhouettes and glossy surfaces characteristic of Pop Art are combined with the fluid lines and natural motifs of Art Nouveau. Soft volumes, reflective planes, and bases reminiscent of root structures create a plastic language in which historical codes are transformed into a contemporary sculptural system.
