Displaced metal elements of DC1409 piece create a rhythmic surface in which light, reflection, and shadow become part of a unified composition.
The texture of the brass reveals the depth of the material through the contrast between matte and reflective planes, preserving the traces of time and natural surface transformation characteristic of Vincenzo De Cotiis’ practice. Light softly diffuses through the structure of the object, reinforcing its architectural presence and spatial depth.
The work exists between lighting object and sculptural construction, combining strict geometry with material complexity.
