DC2312 combines cast brass and Murano glass into an object defined by soft asymmetrical geometry and strong material depth. The translucent glass preserves the fluidity of the form while interacting with light to create a shifting surface with an almost internal luminosity.
The contrast between the density of metal and the fragility of glass produces the characteristic tension in Vincenzo De Cotiis’ practice between organic plasticity and material structure. Reflections, color, and surface depth continuously transform depending on light and surrounding space.
Existing between sculptural object and functional form, the work combines material complexity with architectural presence.
