In Hale Grand Antique Marble is defined by the interplay of two materials with contrasting visual and physical qualities. A monolithic block of Grand Antique marble rests on a mirror-polished stainless-steel base formed by inflating sheets of metal under high pressure. Resembling a soft, air-filled cushion, the reflective support dissolves into its surroundings, creating the impression that the heavy stone is floating above the surface.

The marble for each work is individually selected for its veining, structure and natural character. Its polished upper plane contrasts with the unworked underside, preserving the stone’s inherent expressiveness. The combination of the marble’s natural form and the flawlessly smooth steel transforms the coffee table into a sculptural composition balancing physical mass with apparent weightlessness.
